Grunnsonic is a free showcase festival of Groningen acts that takes place during ESNS. Grunnsonic, a joint initiative between ESNS en POPgroningen, offers Groningen talent the chance to present themselves during ESNS. Groningen is overrun by music professionals, music lovers and acts from all over the world. Being a free festival, Grunnsonic gives music lovers, who don’t have a ticket for ESNS or who want to enjoy even more music, the chance to have an excellent musical weekend.

ESNS and POPgroningen give local acts the opportunity to present themselves to the general public and the professionals present. This year Grunnsonic takes place from 18-20 of January at Het Pakhuis, Warhol, Het Concerthuis en Klup de Dag.
